To be active with in the Apparel Merchandising and Management Department (AMM)outside of the classroom I volunteer once a month for wedding gown sales, setting up and breaking down of the sale, helping customers, and fittings. I have participated in two of our photo shoots, and attended the Ontario Wedding Convention Center last summer where we exhibited our donated Monique Lou wedding gowns.

 

From volunteering for the bridal gown sales I have gained new friends, learned how to give brides special customer service for their wedding gown search, and what questions to ask to find out what style of dress they are looking for. This has been a special experience for me because I am able to see how happy the brides are when they find a dress that is "the one".
